Occupancy Certificates issue for old government buildings to be resolved
The Local Government and Housing Ministry is currently taking steps to resolve the issue of OC
Singapore and Malaysia
will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the high-speed rail (HSR)
project linking Kuala Lumpur with Singapore on Tuesday, Channel
NewsAsia reported.
“We are working towards signing
the MoU on 19 July 2016. We are still in the process of confirming the
details,” a spokesperson from Singapore’s Ministry of Transport was quoted
as saying.
It was reported that the
ceremony would be witnessed by Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong
and his counterpart Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who is set to host the event
at Seri Perdana, Putrajaya.
Japan, South Korea and China
are among countries that have shown keen interest to take part in the
proposed 350km HSR project.

They are not only interested in
bidding for the project but also to work together and share their
expertise and technology in HSR network.
The line will begin in Bandar Malaysia, 7km from the Kuala Lumpur
city centre and end in Jurong East, Singapore.
The HSR is expected to have
five transit stations – Seremban, Ayer Keroh, Muar, Batu Pahat
and Iskandar Puteri.
It is expected to cut travel
time to 90 minutes from five hours by expressway between Kuala Lumpur and
Singapore.
