Malaysia’s Ranking Of The Top 10 Housing Market Hot Zones In 2021

Some people say that it is very satisfying to have your own car and house in life. Of course, there are those who have no desire for these, over concerns that they can’t afford to repay the loan or something like that.

Some people are afraid that they can’t afford the downpayment, while others think it’s better to rent than to buy a house.

However, buying a house can still be said to be the dream of many people. They put owning a home above financial security, getting fit or even having children/starting a family.

Although the Covid-19 pandemic still lingers, it can’t stop people’s desire to buy a house.

Malaysian property site, has published the top 10 residential areas searched by people who want to buy a house.

According to the ranking of house data searched by consumers, Petaling Jaya, which ranked second last year, took first place this year with a browsing rate of 15.2%.

The second is Shah Alam, with a view rate of 14.64% followed by Cheras at 14.56% of views.

Other sought after neighborhoods ranked by percentage of searches:

4th – Johor Bahru (9.39%)5th – Puchong (9.21%)   6th – Subang Jaya (9.07)%7th – Kuala Lumpur City Centre (7.62%)8th – Kota Damansara (7.05%)9th – Ampang (6.77%)10th – Cyberjaya

Among the top 10, Klang Valley accounts for nine out of ten, and the remaining one in Johor Bahru.

This year, Petaling Jaya took first place due to its advantages such as surrounding environment and modern conveniences which are suitable for residents with families.

Johor Bahru, which ranked first last year and in 2020, fell to fourth place this year.

Is 2022 A Smart Time To Buy A House

The best time to purchase a property is when the falling prices are beginning to go up again.

iPropertyGuru.com.my country manager Shylendra Nathan said buyer confidence in the Malaysian property market is improving, as the country transitions to the endemic phase.

Now that people have developed a better feel for living with the Covid-19 pandemic, more property seekers are keen to take advantage of the low-interest rates for home loans imposed by Bank Negara Malaysia.

He added that overall, the consumer sentiment has been improving in H2 2021.

Shylendra expressed hope it will continue to do so next year as the country’s economy steadily recovers.
